Marketing - Whose Job is it Anyway?


This workshop will show everyone in your organisation why it’s important to live the brand, and also to go beyond that and pro-actively market themselves and your organisation. It will show people how to improve customer relationships, reputation and image to generate better referrals and more leads. It will also show them the benefits that they can personally achieve by doing this.

We will look at the importance of marketing and what marketing is really about and means for everyone in your organisation. We will explore how people can identify and engage better with your whole organisation, whilst making their jobs easier and more rewarding at the same time. This session will help people to understand the impact every person can have on success - in either direction, and realise that they can make a difference to their own success as well as that of your organisation.

The focus is on changing attitudes and mindsets, by providing people with different thinking strategies, and then the practical tools to help them change and progress in a positive way. It’s about developing your people and your culture to give you more opportunities for success and growth, to benefit your customers, your organisation and every individual too.

This workshop is about:

  • Helping everyone in your organisation to be marketers and live the brand
  • Maximising the value of your marketing and sales activities
  • Exploring where responsibilities for marketing, communications and sales lie, inspiring improvements in customer relationships and the customer experience
  • Improving your reputation, image and referrals, and increasing leads
  • How to get everyone 'pulling in the same direction' for improved customer and partner relationships, reputation and success

This workshop will show people:

  • Why it's important to have Whole Organisation Marketing
  • The value and power of the "THINK Marketing" Methodology
  • How everyone can support commercial activities
  • The impact and importance of image, communication, customer experiences and expectations
  • Tools and methods for marketing themselves more effectively and improving reputation
  • What improvements need to be made in their own areas and what they can do to make them happen

There is a specific version of this workshop for managers and team leaders too. With that group, we'll also look at their wider levels of responsibility for ensuring that everyone is 'pulling in the same direction'.

Length of workshop: Half day for staff; one day for managers and team leaders
